The Cult of Nazderon has spread its influence far and wide across the deserts south of the Ruin of Tazoon. You disrupted one ritual, but failed to disrupt a second. Nazderon returned, kidnapped Brienaire, and defeated a force of mages from the Enclave and soldiers from the Imperial Army. Shau is willing to help you defeat Nazderon, but his price may be costly.
Quest text[edit]
Let us discuss payment for my assistance, <player>. My wife, Taur-el, is held prisoner by High Priest Gong-shu himself within the Ruin. I do not know what duress she is in, nor do I know the state in which he holds her, but she is most certainly held prisoner against her will.
You wish me to rescue her?
Yes, I do. Free her from his grasp before I am forced to take more drastic measures into my own hands... for the sake of my people and their future, return her here to me safely. Do this and I will bestow my BattleStone upon you so that you may level the playing field against Nazderon.

- Free Shau's wife, Taur-el, from the grasp of High Priest Gong-shu (Hint: Kill High Priest Gong-shu) who is found near the Bloodwall in the Ruin of Tazoon)
- Free Taur-el from her prison (Hint: Speak with her)
- Speak with Taur-el
- Defeat the High Priest's Guards
- Speak to Taur-el again
- Speak with Taur-el
- Speak with the Challenge Master at the Arena just outside of the South Gate of the Ruin of Tazoon
