Despite your efforts and the Mayor's increasingly desperate plans to destroy the Cult, your efforts have not succeeded and the Cult has only grown stronger. Now, he has one last plan to destroy the Cult once and for all.
Quest text[edit]
Lem tells you, <Player>, you have disappointed me time and time again. Your failures, I cannot abide them any longer. The Cult must be destroyed and I fear I must seek assistance elsewhere. For now, go speak to Bixben, he was looking for you.
Bixben tells you, Ah, good, <Player>, just the <Race> I was looking for. The Mayor has expressed his disappointment, but he is a fool! If he had sent you to me in the first place we could have ended this without such wasted efforts.
Bixben tells you, Destroying them from within? Pah. Stealing their wrenches? *he snorts in derision* No, the way to stop the Cult is to cut off its head. Kill the High Priest, <Player>, and we shall be free of this nonsense.
The Priest falls beneath your might! However, you notice something sticking out of a pocket of his robe..
You pull the small piece of paper off of the Priest's corpse; it appears to be a letter. You should return too Bixben for further instructions..
Bixben tells you, Good, good, the High Priest is dead! Well done, <Player>. Now the Cult will wither and die once and for all. But, you say you found a letter on his body? May I see it?.
Bixben tells you, Thank you. Your help has been invaluable, my friend.
Bixben tells you, *he appears visibly shaken* The contents of this letter... if they are true... we may be undone. I--I--I fear we may be undone, <Player>.
Steps[edit]
- Speak to Guard-Captain Bixben Lindnottin.
- Kill the High Priest of Telak. (Be sure to loot him!)
- Return to Guard-Captain Bixben with the Letter.
