Your search for the lost patrol led you to an abandoned camp. Not far from the camp you located one of the remaining members of the patrol, a scout who has been wounded.
Quest text[edit]
Wounded tells you, <player>, it is good that you found me! I feared I would die out here. My patrol established our camp not far from here, but in the night a large squad came near and we were forced to flee. In the chaos and darkness I became separated from the rest of my patrol and injured my leg tripping in a large hole.
Wounded tells you, Eventually the enemy passed and I ventured back out to locate my comrades. I found them, <player>, but they had run straight into another enemy patrol and it appears all were killed. All but one, that is. He is missing and I can only presume that he was taken by the enemy. They took my friend prisoner and I fear they may be torturing him!
Wounded tells you, We cannot leave him, <player>! Please, go find and help him if you can. They probably took him to the main camp to the northeast. I had seen it when we were scouting, but we were too few to attack directly. Hurry!
You have located the captured scout, but he is dead. You notice parchment sticking out of his pocket..
You search the body of the captured scout and discover a portion of parchment. It has been torn and partially burned, but parts of it are still legible. It speaks of another camp to the east and appears to be a list of requested supplies. Return with word of this to Sergeant Akkator..
You have received 1 Scrap of Parchment.
Akkator tells you, Report! Ah, good, I was wondering where you had gotten off to, <player>. Did you locate my patrol? All but one dead? *he frowns* This is not good, not good at all. Where will I get another patrol with these budget cuts... What of the living member? Wounded? And what is this parchment?
Akkator tells you, There is another patrol?! Indeed! This bodes well, <player>. That patrol, sent out by my predecessor, was thought lost and we had given up all hope that any survivors remained. *he taps his chin thoughtfully* Give me a moment to consider this.
Steps[edit]
- Talk to the Wounded Scout
- Locate the Captured Scout at the Enemy Base Camp.
- Retrieve the parchment from the Captured Scout's body (Greet him)
- Return to Sergeant Akkator at the Eastern Outpost
- Talk to Sergeant Akkator
