The Cult of Nazderon has spread its influence far and wide across the deserts south of the Ruin of Tazoon. You have slain many of the cultists to try and slow their recruitment of willing and unwilling individuals. You helped Zalikhet stop the recruiters, but after fetching her water she is now missing.
Quest text[edit]
Zalikhet is clearly missing, but perhaps there are more signs around the camp. You should investigate further.
Zalikhet's companion, Ptamnu, lies dead on the ground. Who killed him and why?
The table has been knocked over, its contents scattered. Was there some sort of struggle?
A set of footprints lead west out of the camp into the Great Sandstorm. Perhaps you should follow them?
The signs seem to indicate that Zalikhet was taken prisoner by the Cult. Footprints lead west into the Great Sandstorm towards the Cult of Nazderon. Follow them and try to locate Zalikhet.
You have found a path beaten by Cultists. You think you are on the right track to finding Zalikhet.
You approach what appears to be the Cult encampment and a temple of some sort. The road splits and to your right and uphill you can see an altar and cages. That's where Zalikhet must be kept!
You've found Zalikhet, she's been imprisoned by Cultists! You do not know what they have planned for her, but it is doubtful it is for good.
Zalikhet says, 'Help me, please!'
You've slain enough guards to free Zalikhet safely!
Zalikhet has joined your party.
Zalikhet tells you, <player>, you have my sincerest thanks for rescuing me from the cult! I can only assume I was to become one of their sacrifices, fueling their need for blood to pave the return of Nazderon.
Ptamnu... I will take care of his body. The Cult will pay for this.
Steps[edit]
- Investigate for signs of Zalikhet around her camp
- Clue #1
- Run to the killed Ptamnu
- Clue #2
- Run to the table beside Zalikhet's Chair
- Clue #3
- Near the road there are footprints 23588/24332(map)
- The signs seem to indicate that Zalikhet was taken prisoner by the Cult. Footprints lead west into the Great Sandstorm towards the Cult of Nazderon. Follow them and try to locate Zalikhet.
- Run past the flags until you reach two cages at 23382/24335(map)
- Follow the footprints that you found
- Keep looking for Zalikhet!
- Zalikhet must be somewhere close!
- Rescue Zalikhet from the Cultists! Kill six (6) of the Magadi Guards near Zalikhet's Cage
- Escort Zalikhet back to her camp and speak to her about the events that happened at the temple.
- Speak to Zalikhet
- Perhaps it is best to give Zalikhet some time to mourn. Talk to her again in a little bit.
