The Novo was a great machine which prevented a massive onslaught of the Withered Aegis on Istaria more than a decade ago. Luciano looks for a way to find what the Withered Aegis plan to do with its machine and to thwart the security system that prevented you from going further.

Quest text

I have told your story to Boltoro. As we are still unsure of what the Withered Aegis machine can do, we think you haven't been able to approach it because of a security forcefield.

For the moment, we have two objectives. The first one is to find the purpose of the machine. There is no doubt we will have to destroy it but we cannot send warriors there without knowing what they can expect in front of it.

The second one is obviously to find a way to deactivate the security system.

For the first one, we can't really return near the machine and study it. So, we should use Pashalia's visions. They had already helped us when we built the Novo machine, maybe they can tell more about this threat. For the second one, we need to ask Viollca her opinion. She may have an idea about how to deactivate the forcefield.

• Meet Versanto in New Rachival and give him Viollca's letter

• Acquire ten (10) Steel Tinkering Struts
• Acquire ten (10) Gold Powder samples
• Acquire ten (10) Focused Amber Azulyte Crystals
• Acquire ten (10) Granite Spell Shards
• Acquire ten (10) Blighted Glowing Essence Orbs
