The Novo was a great machine which prevented a massive onslaught of the Withered Aegis on Istaria more than a decade ago. The Withered Aegis has builwt a machine to reverse the effect of the Novo. Luciano sends you to the Forgotten Underpass again to destroy it.
Quest text[edit]
The time has come, ungrel. You need to return to the Forgotten Underpass and destroy this wicked machine. Istaria counts on you.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to study the Withered Aegis defenses there: you will have to understand how to destroy it when you will be in front of it. I cannot advise you enough to bring friends with you: you should expect a fierce battle.

Steps[edit]
- Speak to Luciano
- Return to the Sarcophagus in the Forgotten Cemetery
- 21474/21530(map)
- Use the Rune of Unlocking. If you have companions, they need to stand near you to follow you into the underpass when you will activate the Rune. NOTE: If you exit the underpass after using the Rune, you will need to cancel the quest and take it again to come back.
- Return in front of the security system
- Kill the Splitter Guardians
- Destroy the Forcefield Generators
- Defeat the Decayed Inventor
- Destroy the Reality Splitter
- The energy tanks of the Reality Splitter are damaged and they are going to explode! Run to the entrance to escape! NOTE: your companions need to be at a reasonable distance from you to flee near the ladder.
- Return to Luciano with good news
- Speak to Boltoro
- Luciano has something for you...
