You have taken samples of the destroyed stone and one of the Cult Incubators to Curate Torai at the Tower of Healing. With these he hopes to find a cure for the plague.
Quest text[edit]
Torai tells you, These are fascinating, <player>, in a morbid and absolutely terrifying way. The stone, you see, appears to be imbued by the blighted, magical energies that surround and inhabit one of the aegror. How the creature came to be buried in stone in the desert south of Tazoon I have no idea! How long has it been there I wonder?
What of the flesh?
Torai tells you, Yes, well, this is the terrifying part... You see, from what I can tell the individual from whom you took this flesh had subsumed the blighted energies! Absorbed the blight, <player>! Perhaps from standing too close to the stone? Though I would expect that energy of that type and strength would hurt them before it could be absorbed into their bodies.
How did they get it then?
Torai tells you, I have a hypothesis that appears to fit the facts, but if I am correct it would be a terrifying development. My hypothesis is that these cultists absorbed the blighted energy by consuming it! Yes, <player>, it is highly likely that these people were ingesting bits and pieces of the blighted flesh of this aegror. Hideous!
Disgusting!
Torai tells you, Indeed, <player>! However gruesome and distasteful we find the practice, one cannot deny that it produced results. These cultists, or incubators, were growing the plague within themselves! I would hazard a guess that the Priests then harvested the plague directly from the bodies of these incubators after they died.
That's terrible!
Torai tells you, Yes, it is. The good news is that this knowledge leads us down a path towards a cure since the plague is assuredly magical in nature and is also tainted by the blight.
What are our next steps?
Torai tells you, Well, if it were biological in nature then I would be confident in my skills to develop a cure. Unfortunately, it is magical and, therefore, I would be more of a hindrance or danger to our efforts than a help. I'm afraid we'll need to recruit the assistance of someone else. Fortunately I have someone in mind.
Torai tells you, Eneth, could you come over here please?
Eneth tells you, Certainly, my friend. What do you need?
Torai tells you, We would like to speak with you about the plague and some samples we have acquired.
Eneth tells you, Yes, this plague is a terrible thing. As you can see, there are those who are falling ill all across the region and some have come here for respite. I keep hoping for something that will lead us to a cure.
We have a lead!
Eneth tells you, You do? Well, this changes matters entirely.
Torai tells you, It is magical rather than biological and appears to have blighted energy within it.
Eneth tells you, Is that so? Well... I'll need a sample from one of the infected, of course. Nothing so extreme as this flesh you have here, merely some of their blood. Use this tool to extract it.

Steps[edit]
- Speak with Curate Torai
- Speak with Lesser Prelate Eneth
- Obtain a sample of the plague from one of the victims in the tower
- The victim lies on the ground at the entrance of the Tower of Healing
- Obtain a sample of the plague from the victim
- Use Eneth's Blood Sampler on the Victim
- Return to Lesser Prelate Eneth with the Sample of Blood
