| Instructions for Using the Explosive for Teana |
The orders stolen from a Priest of Nazderon spoke of a "source" of the Plague. You found a strange glowing rock at the dig site that appears to be the source of the plague energy, but it cannot be destroyed by normal means. At Teana's behest you acquired a device called an explosive from Versanto in New Rachival. Now is the time to utilize it!
Quest text[edit]
Teana tells you, I see that you carry the explosives we require! That is very good. I trust Master Versanto was not too brash, I know how he can get at times.

You have received 1 Instructions for Using the Explosive.
Teana tells you, That is good to hear. I am not overly fond of this technology that the Gnomes dabble in, but it does have its uses at times. Nevertheless, you are ready to proceed to the dig site and detonate this explosive device. I would recommend reviewing the instructions before you do!
You've placed and primed the explosive! The lights on the device start flashing and a countdown begins. Now it's time to run!

The rock is destroyed! But in its place stands a hideous creature, surely one of the minions of the Withered Aegis!
Teana tells you, Is the rock destroyed, <player>?
It is and there was an aegror trapped within!
Teana tells you, An Aegror? Truly? That would explain much, <player>. I can scarcely imagine the foul odours that a creature such as that would possess and emit... Your efforts have been heroic, <player>, and we may be close to stopping the plague.
You have received 1 Title: Scourge of the Cults.
Steps[edit]
- Listen to Teana
- Proceed to the dig site and use the explosive on the strange rock! Be sure and review the instructions for use (use item "Instructions for Using the Explosive" for this)!
- Use the explosive! If you are unsure how it works, review the instructions!
- Run for safety!
- Defeat the Imprisoned Aegror that was trapped within the strange rock!
- Return to Teana in Kaiyar to talk to her about what was trapped within the rock
- Speak with Teana
