Xerix doesn't know where golems come from, but he knows that they're seeming to be a good challenge for you to test your teeth and claws against, so he's sending you to defeat Nickel Golems for this next test.
Quest text[edit]
Kill twelve (12) Nickel Golems that wander the Aughundell Mines then return to Xerix for training.
In all my years, never has a gnome contracted my organization to do a job. Never! I'm actually intrigued. You see, it seems they need a large quantity of dark iron for some project or another. But they can't get the dwarves of Aughundell to go into the mines and clear out the Nickel Golems so that they can safely mine. That, my young apprentice, is where you come in.
Be subtle when traveling through Aughundell, as we don't want to upset the dwarves either. But go and clear out a portion of the mines so that the gnomes can gather what they need. Twelve or so of the Nickel Golems should clear things enough for the gnomes to be safe.
Game Feedback: Although the golems were too much for the naka-duskael to handle, they were no match for your prowess. Return to Xerix with the good news; perhaps he has finished preening and will have the time to train you.
