Having uncovered a Withered Aegis plot to sow seeds of chaos across the Vandus Confederation, Leftenant Hanlon feels that you need to help shore up defenses at outlying outposts. You've checked in with several, but now he's sending you to a distant one called Heart.

<player>, are you ready for your assignment? Good. You will proceed to the Outpost of Heart which can be found to the southwest of Central Valley. Sergeant Nansi Illos is in charge there and her last report indicated that they were seeing an increase in raids by the Withered Aegis out of the Shadowed Coast.
Given recent circumstances and evidence, the raids and the Forest Skulk must be linked! So I need you to travel south to Heart and assist Sergeant Illos in any way that you can. Good journeys, <Adventurer School>!

<Adventurer School>, what brings you to Heart? Leftenant Hanlon sent you to aid us? Well, well. Perhaps there aren't as many fools in Dalimond as I feared... But we shall see. Let me bring you up to date on our status.
Heart was established to provide a base of operations for movements into and out of the Shadowed Coast and for any expeditions further west towards the Observatory itself. But of late we've seen an increase in not only raids, as my last report to the Leftenant detailed, but also outright attacks.

Each attack, <player>, has grown in strength. And it has only been with the Luck of Istara herself that we've managed to hold out this long. Needless to say, without additional reinforcements we surely would have fallen in mere days. But now that you have arrived we will surely be able to stem the advance! One of the Gifted!
