Artifacts stolen from ancient human tombs are being used by the Withered Aegis to buy loyalty of the Forest Skulks and to encourage them to attack and cause chaos among human lands. Micklin Vandus believes the threat must be tracked to its source and stopped before the Confederation collapses.

Quest text

Micklin tells you, Ah, good, <player>, there you are. There are matters to discuss. The artifacts you have recovered from the villages of the Forest Skulk pose a grave threat to the stability of the Vandus Confederation. Should these attacks continue or increase in severity and frequency, it is possible that the Confederation might very well collapse.

Micklin tells you, Something must be done, Ranger, and I believe you are the one to carry it out. The Forest Skulk are receiving these trinkets and artifacts from someone. So that is where the investigation must focus, who or what is behind these bribes! Track the supply of artifacts and we will discover the source.

Micklin tells you, You have handled this well to date so I expect great things from you. Save the Confederation, protect the families here in Dalimond and across the peninsula, stop the Withered Aegis. Those are your mandates.
