Sergeant Gaedin feels that you will need a new weapon very soon and he has just the one in mind! The Militia Surplus Officer is always looking for assistance with various tasks and deliveries so helping him out will place him in your debt, perhaps enough to earn a new weapon.

Quest text

Gaedin tells you, Well, you are back again. Ready to being your training in earnest now, eh? Soon you will need a new weapon to help you along. A weapon is an extension of the warrior, it is part of you. Without it, you will die and it will not be glorious, though it may be quick.

Gaedin tells you, There is one in New Trismus that can help you obtain a new weapon. That is Frelic, the Militia Surplus Officer. Go speak with him about getting a new weapon and return to me when you are done. Don't know where he is? Well, he's in the building next to this one.

Frelic tells you, Welcome, Warrior. What brings you to my warehouse this fine day? Seeking weapons of war? Armor to protect yourself? Or just looking around? A weapon, you say? Yes, I have many weapons. The Empire procures weapons for its militia and so I have many different types in stock. I might be willing to part with one, if you could do me a favor?

Frelic tells you, Excellent! Well, you see, I've got this suit of armor and several weapons that I need delivered to a druid named Ishenar here on the island. Ishenar has been called to join the New Trismus Council and it spending his time in town these days. Perhaps you could carry it to him for me? I am not entirely sure where you'll find him, but if you look around town I'm sure you'll locate him.

Ishenar tells you, Hail friend. What have you brought with you there? A box of goods for me? Well, well, this is turning out to be a good day indeed! Thank you so much, my friend. Perhaps you would be willing to do me a favor while you are here?

Ishenar tells you, That is good to hear. You see, the skeletons prevent me from returning to my camp. I'm not as young as I used to be, so fighting them off is difficult. Perhaps you could help me out? Kill five (5) of them and then return here. You may not know this yet, but skeletons are highly resistant to slashing weapons such as a sword. Fortunately they are quite weak against crushing weapons like a mace or hammer. I happen to have a mace here with me that you may use. May the Hand of Merrasat guide you!

Steps

• Speak with Frelic the Militia Surplus Officer about a new weapon.
• Deliver the goods to Ishenar. He's somewhere in town according to Frelic.
  • Wrong. He's at the Lookout Camp far at the northern end of the island.
• Assist Ishenar by killing five (5) skeletons near the town.
• Speak with Ishenar
• Return to Frelic for your sword.
• Speak with Sergeant Gaedin
