Sergeant Gaedin has been asked to send help to Rancher Elden. He's having problems with the grulets around his farm and all his usual help is off assisting with the building of the walls around New Trismus.
Quest text[edit]
Gaedin tells you, Well, well, Warrior. Back again for more training are you? Very well. You shall learn to help others. Many people in this village could use assistance, so we shall provide it. Rancher Elden supplies us with much needed food and supplies for making weapons. But he has been unable to give us everything we need lately because his ranch hands have been brought into service to help with building the walls and defending the city. So you're to head to his ranch and kill 10 grulets. That will stop them from taking the stores for his stock with will in turn help the town.
Elden tells you, Good day to you, Gnome. What can I help you with? Ah, so you're the one who has been killing the grulets for me. I wondered when they didn't come raiding my stores who it was. My thanks. And my gratitude to the Empire as well for sending help during such a stressful time.
Gaedin tells you, Were you able to help Rancher Elden? Yes? Good. Not only was it a good opportunity for you to practice your skills, but Elden is now indebted to you. We may call him on that debt in the future. You have done well. But there is more to do yet!
Steps[edit]
- Travel to the area around the ranch just south of town and slay 10 Grulets. Once done you'll report to Rancher Elden of your success.
- Report to Rancher Elden that you have helped him out with his little grulet problem.
- Speak with Sergeant Gaedin about your training
