<player>, your assistance is much appreciated. I don't know where Kion would be without your help. If I may, though, I have one more request to make of you. A rather delicate problem that will require your discretion.
Last night or perhaps early this morning an artifact of great importance to Kion was stolen from the vault. I know, it hardly seems possible, but it is gone. The Militia is investigating, but while they do, the thief is getting away. I am asking you to track him, or her of course, and do your best to retrieve the artifact and bring the thief to justice. The important part is that we get the item back. It is the Star of Merrasat and of great importance to my people. I'm afraid I can't give you much by way of help, only that they can't have been gone long. I would begin searching the woods and perhaps on Spider Island for clues.
I would ask that you please be discrete, as if this gets out it will cause great distress among my people. If you find it, bring the item back to me directly.
Recently a very important artifact from Kion's history was taken from the Kion Vault. While the Militia investigates the theft itself, Lady Kendra needs someone to search the island for this missing artifact.
You notice something shining in the sunlight. As you make your way past the ghost of Jolan toward the beach, you see the Star of Merrasat lying on the beach. It appears that the thief or thieves must have made their way toward Dryart and dropped the relic here as they fled.
The Star! Oh, <player>, you found it! You truly are the hero of Kion. Though unfortunately no one can know how you have served us today, I will always know. You will have my undying gratitude. The Militia will track the thief now that you have provided them somewhere to start. Thank you so very much.

- Lady Kendra believes that the artifact has been taken from Kion very recently and that the thief or thieves would not have gone far. She suggested that you begin searching the woods right near the city and on the island nearby known as Spider Isle.
- Triggers at 20999/23862(map)
- Tuck the Star of Merrasat in a pouch and return to Lady Kendra in Kion.
