Niesa, once a famed Alchemist, has been enslaved by the Withered Aegis for many years. Your search for her, started by her former student and lover, Giltekh Framtor, led you to find her at the edge of the Eastern Deadlands. Niesa needs your assistance to shed her bonds of enslavement, but she has warned you that it may prove dangerous, even deadly.
Quest text[edit]
Niesa tells you, 'These bonds, <player>, they are more than physical for the Withered Aegis does not operate in such an uncouth and blatant manner. No, they are magical, perhaps even spiritual in nature. This means that the methods for breaking the bonds must reflect their nature precisely.'
Niesa tells you, 'Therein lies our first hurdle. You see, in order to determine the nature of the bonds you must study them, even disassemble them. However, I cannot remove the bonds any more than I can remove my own head.'
Niesa tells you, 'Which means we have only one course available to us. I have thought long on this and I believe you must acquire another set of bonds and use them for your studies. We must hope, nay pray, that the nature of the bonds will be the same and whatever solution you devise will work on my bonds as well.'
Niesa tells you, 'This part may prove to be the easiest, <player>. Along the road to the south of my prison you will find creatures called Risen Binders. They do the foul work of their masters, searching and enslaving any whom are foolish enough to wander into the deadlands... *she snorts* Such as myself. These Binders carry the bonds. Go and recover several for me.'
Return to Niesa with the Slave-Bonds
Niesa tells you, 'She stares at the bonds. These things are foul, <player>.'

- Locate the road to the southeast and recover four (4) Slave-Bonds from the Risen Binders
