At Ranger Kishar's behest, you assaulted the Temple of Merrasat and removed the undead presence. There you found that the undead had tainted the ground and a revered Relic of Merrasat. It must be returned to Kion for safekeeping.

Kishar tells you, The Relic does not appear to have escaped undamaged, <player>. I can feel the taint of the blight on it. Regardless, it must be returned to the people of Kion for safekeeping. Take it to Lady Kendra.

Kendra tells you, That is quite a fascinating tale, <player>, one which places us once more in your debt. If this relic is tainted as you say then it must be cleansed before we keep it here in town.

• How can it be cleaned?

Kendra tells you, Oh, the means by which it can be cleansed is beyond my skills or knowledge, <player>. However, Curate Mera of the Clerical Order can surely help you with that. You can find her near the bank.

Mera tells you, A Relic of the goddess? I never thought I would see another, they are extremely rare. Where did you find this one?

• It was wrested from the Scorched Legion that occupied the Ancient Temple in the Deep Forest.

Mera tells you, Well, it is good to hear that it was saved. You say it is tainted though. May I see it?

• Yes, here it is.

Mera tells you, Thank you. Yes, the blight was slowly seeping into it. I can hardly feel the magic of life any longer. Fortunately, all is not lost, <player>!

• Can it be cleansed and restored?

Mera tells you, Of course! There is enough magic remaining in it for that. I will need a few components for the ritual, I hope you won't mind collecting them for me.

Haron tells you, She did, did she? Well, she is in luck today... I have a batch of potions I finished brewing just this very morning. And, I do owe her for helping me last week with a... delicate matter. Here you are, <player>.

Mera tells you, Very good, yes these will do nicely. Confused? Do not be. Potions of Cleansing are sometimes used to strip the magical properties from Artifacts.

• What of the orbs? And won't the potion strip the Life magic from the Relic?

Mera tells you, Insightful questions, <player>! The orbs will empower the potion even further to help overcome the effects of the blighted taint. To prevent the potion from stripping the life magic away, I intend to add a Prayer to Merrasat that was blessed yesterday and should help rebind the life magic to the Relic.

Steps

• Speak to Ranger Kishar
• Speak with Lady Kendra in Kion about the Relic of Merrasat
• Speak with Curate Mera about cleansing the Relic of Merrasat. She can be found at the Kion Hospital south of the Vault.
• Speak with Haron Bubblepop the Alchemist about a Potion of Cleansing at the second floor of the Vault building
• Acquire four (4) Dim Essence Orbs. You can either craft them by yourself or trade them with a player/Consigner of your choice.
• Return to Curate Mera with the components
• Wait for Curate Mera to complete the Cleansing Ritual
• Speak with Curate Mera about the Relic
• Deliver the Cleansed Relic of Merrasat to Lady Kendra in Kion
