Now that you've made a dragon claw, Jemenoth is going to teach you how to defend yourself by making scales.

Quest text

Jemenoth tells you, This is a little simpler than crafting a claw; it only requires one processed resource. You're going to be crafting your first dragon scale, which, much like the claw, is worn over your scales to protect you from getting injured. It is used as armor and can be imbued with special properties to make it even more powerful. There are ten scales you can wear in total, but only the most advanced warriors can wear them all at once.

Jemenoth tells you, Head down the hill again and run past the tin and copper field. Right over the hill, you will find a large deposit of sandstone - I want you to gather twenty-five sandstone slabs and then return to me.

And try not to fall into the ocean on your way out!

You have gathered enough sandstone! Return to Jemenoth.

Jemenoth tells you, Okay, next you need to process that raw material into bricks. Here's the formula. The stone cutter is in the room next to the scale forge to my left. Make five bricks and please don't cut yourself on the machine.

Jemenoth tells you, Remember not to lose your formulas, <player>! They are not cheap to replace in the future!

Now go make those bricks!

Jemenoth tells you, Beautiful! Now here's the formula for the scale you're going to make. Dragon scales are made specifically to fit over your body and protect you from attacks, so when you craft it, be sure not to make it too big!

Jemenoth tells you, Well little one, I have taught you all you need to know for now. Before you leave... I have some coin for you. You'll need a lot of it going forward to buy formulas for yourself. If you ever want to be a master crafter like I am, you need to start somewhere!

Steps

• Listen to Jemenoth before you run off down the hill.
• Gather twenty-five (25) Sandstone Slabs for Jemenoth. She says that they are down the hill and to the left, past the copper and tin, and over a hill. Follow the path as to not lose your way!
• Run back up to the hill and into the lair to speak with Jemenoth once more.
• Walk to Jemenoth's left and into the section of the floating lair where the stonecutter sits. Craft five (5) Sandstone Bricks at it.
  • If you have lost your Beginner Stone Brick formula, speak again with Jemenoth to get another.
• Speak again with Jemenoth now that you have created the bricks.
• Using the scale forge, craft one (1) Skalkaar Hatchling Scale using the formula Jemenoth has given you.
  • If you have misplaced your Skalkaar Hatchling Scale formula, speak with Jemenoth to receive another one.
• Return to Jemenoth and tell her of your new dragon scale.
