Giant Loricatus Beetle Antennae, Thick and Sticky Liquid

The giant loricatus beetles on the beaches of Lesser Aradoth are more numerous and much more aggressive lately. Kill enough to collect five antennae for Guard Kerrak.

Quest text[edit]

Something strange is going on with the giant loricatus beetles in the sands around the island. Kerrak has been getting reports that they are more numerous and much more aggressive lately. As it happens, Kerrak has a need for five giant loricatus beetle antennae. If <player> could collect them, Kerrak will be most appreciative. An intact antennae is not common, so <player> will probably have to slay several more than five, which should help with the population problem as well.

The beetle that dropped the antennae has some kind of thick, sticky liquid on its mandibles. The liquid smells like alcohol and appears to have a mixture of herbs and other plant matter mixed in to it. Kerrak will probably want to know about this find.

Normally Kerrak would not care what loricatus beetles are feeding on, but they have been behaving very strangely recently. Only a fool would dismiss the possibility of a connection. Please, investigate this further. Fillet or Sshranu may be able to tell what herbs were used in this liquid, and that would be a good place to start. Now, as for the loricatus beetle antennae, they look perfect. Please, accept this as a gesture of Kerrak's gratitude.
