Meet Dennison Jadefellow in Dalimond with the Ancient Signet Ring in your possession
Game Feedback: You have found a strange ring on one of the Forest Skulk you slain. Surely it is worth a bounty to someone. Check with Dennison Jadefellow in Dalimond.
What have you there, <player>? A third artifact? You found another village of the forest skulk did you? Well, well. *he looks the ring over* Hmm. Interesting. This seems a bit more well-made than the others. Even more valuable I'd say.
- he flips open the Tome you brought him and begins turning pages quickly while muttering to himself* No, it couldn't be that. But maybe... Or maybe him. But why and how.... Oh, forgive my absentmindedness, <player>. I am unsure about this ring, but I suspect it could have come from the Tomb of a Sorcerer-King who ruled briefly a century or so before the rise of Ashlander Vandus.
His real name is never spoken, but since my childhood I have heard him called Crankenspank. But do not take my word for it, for I am unsure. And Crankenspank is a mere fairy tale to scare children. Take the ring to Governor Vandus, he may know more about it.
Take the Ancient Ring to Micklin Vandus in Dalimond
Good day to you, citizen <player>. What can I assist you with? You found an ancient ring in a Forest Skulk Village? *he frowns* To think that those creatures are plundering the tombs of my ancestors! If the Confederation could spare an army I would destroy every village of the Skulk on the face of Istaria for this abomination! *you narrowly avoid the spittle his impassioned speech flings in your direction*
- he takes a deep breath and composes himself* Perhaps one day soon. I will certainly bring it up at the next Council meeting. Now, about this ring. *he takes it from you and looks it over* I believe Scholar Jadefellow was right... Much as it pains me to say. This ring was taken from the tomb of the Sorcerer known as Crankenspank.

Oh, he is no fairy tale though many would like to believe it so! He was a powerful sorcerer and heavy-handed ruler of my ancestors who rose to power nearly a century before Ashlander Vandus led us to freedom. Crankenspank's reign was cut short by our masters, the Dragons, who burned his castle and most of those within to the ground. The ruins of the castle, now called his tomb, lie to the southeast.
Return to Dennison Jadefellow in Dalimond and speak about the Signet Ring
Crankenspank is no myth, or so Micklin says? *he laughs* Fairy tales exist. I suppose next he'll be saying that he's seen Hornbax and has heard the pitter-patter of Blansoos feet. *he slaps his thigh and laughs out loud* Well, no matter. The ring was a good find, <player>.
