There is now an alternate quest line where you observe but do not have to slay [[The Lone Wolf]]. If you observe without slaying and check in with [[Braekhis]], you get an optional quest (called [[The Lone Wolf: Spare Lone Wolf]]) where you can sneak over to leave some food for the wolf in his lair, after which you are gifted [[The Wolf's Blessing]].
