My friend, do you still have the blade I gave you? It is a treasured artifact of my people, did you know that?
- I did not know that.
It has been passed down in my family from father to son for generations. I was the last son and while it was mine to give, others may be upset that I gave it away so freely. My people would be overjoyed to have it back. There's an elder in town, Geleon, do you know of him?
- I have heard of him, yes.

Good day, <player>, and welcome back. I heard you found Jolan... Merrasat watch over his soul.
- Yes, I did. And he gave a blade he called Galt's Blade.
When I heard of his fate I wondered what had become of the blade. His family is gone, he was the last, and the blade had been passed down for so long. Galt, what a lineage that is!
- Why is he so revered?
Oh, you've come to the right place if you wish to know more of Galt. Where should I begin?
- At the beginning?
Of course! So little fact is known of him, I fear, much of what we know has become legend. You see, this tale starts more than two millennia ago on these very sands. At the time the Saris did not build with stone, but rather with sticks and mud.

Geleon 4
Galt was both a priest of Merrasat and also an apprentice builder. At the time the trades were not so separate as they are now and the priesthood coveted much of the knowledge and skills. As I was saying, Galt was an apprentice, but he grew tired of rebuilding homes when the seasonal rains came. He spoke out about the need for more permanent structures, but was laughed at by his fellow priests.

After a time he and a few others grew weary of the laughter and left town. Years passed before anyone heard from him again and what occurred during those decades has never been recorded to my knowledge.

Nevertheless, he returned to spread the word that he had begun a great construction high atop a nearby mountain. The structure, which we call the Kiatar, was a great temple complex built entirely out of stone. It is a fact that seems minor today, but two millennia ago was revolutionary.

The priests of Merrasat were shocked and called his building style heresy, but after years of construction Galt and his associates completed the temple and without a word handed it to the Senior Priestess of Merrasat.
- Amazing!
Yes, truly. After completing the temple Galt and his associates returned to Kion, celebrated by all but the priesthood, and rebuilt the village out of stone. Galt established the building style you see about you to this day.

The vault, in fact, is the oldest building in Kion and is the last remaining structure actually built by Galt himself... or so the legend says.
- What became of him?
He went on to build many structures in other Saris communities before the end and his associates passed on their knowledge to others. Before he left us, however, he gave Artifacts of Power to the priesthood, Artifacts many say were gifts from Merrasat herself. Many of which have also been lost to the dust of history.
- And this blade?
An Artifact of Power as well, albeit a minor one, that he gifted to his family. You see why it would be treasured by the Saris now, don't you?

I leave the decision to you then. Do you return it to the Saris or keep it for yourself? It is yours to choose for it was Jolan's to gift to whomever he wished. If you decide to return it, I can offer you another Artifact of equal power that you could apply to a claw or blade should you wish to.
