Quest text[edit]

Valkoth tells you, Huh? Dragon, what're you doing here? Speak up! I'm short on time, no need to waste it with muttering.

Valkoth tells you, Ahhh, someone who wants to know about General Malganival! Excellent! It's been some time since someone asked about him and not just his faction. I was beginning to worry people forgot the old Dragon! Listen up.

Valkoth tells you, His personal life is lost in the past, but some good memories are kept around. You know the usual story of the Lunus, I hope; the naka'duskael are a threat and should be subdued, so on and so forth. Lunus was the great Dragon who not only led, but created this faction back in the day! Of course, with the Blight at hand, we have other priorities than fiddling with some measly naka'duskael...

Valkoth tells you, Anyway! Lunus was one of our greatest military commanders to ever live. Way back in 752 B.R., he led the great armies to Barasavus, razing the kingdom to the ground! That's not all; he also fought Ashlander Vandus at the Battle of Bayn Hill in 588 B.R.! Lunus' skill in both leadership and tooth and claw is admired by both factions even today. I believe Xerix teaches the ancient General's ways, does he not? Grah, I wish I could've seen such a great Dragon fight!

Valkoth growls in displeasure.

Valkoth tells you, Those days were over far too soon, I'm afraid. Issues rose within our own kind that needed our attention - the Schism, as we know it now. He opposed Helian's ideas with every scale on his great body. He fought her for years until she cast herself out of Dralk. She moved to Chiconis in the south, followed by a great many of our kind. Lunus, despite despising her ideas, admired this. Indeed, he claimed it was the greatest single sacrifice a Dragon had made in more than two millennia! She prevented a civil war between our kind, after all; such a fight would have been disastrous. Though this is the only credit I'd ever give to Helian, the scaleless naka-lover...

Valkoth tells you, Lunus passed from this world before the Gifted ever rose, unfortunately. He would have been such a great help in our war against the Blight! Grah, no use whimpering over something that cannot change like a scared hatchling. It's a shame, but we have mighty warriors enough these days. I just wish he had left us behind more than a few scant glances at his tactics in a memory crystal; his tomb was lost and hidden to us, though it is rumored to be within our volcanic homelands, protected by lava and Primal magic. Maybe someday we will find it? That's all I know, however. I've duties to attend to.
