The Novo was a great machine which prevented a massive onslaught of the Withered Aegis on Istaria more than a decade ago. What is left of it is now a vestige of the past. Luciano wants to keep the memory of this event alive and needs to collect some samples of the device.

Greetings, ungrel. Glad to see you back here. Now that you are aware of the tale of the Novo, would you accept to help me to keep this memory alive?

• What do you want from me?

After being used, the machine collapsed and was destroyed. Only rubbles are left. I would like you to collect some parts of the machines among the Novo Debris Pile.

• What do you need?

Great! Bring me five samples of these items: Cogcentian Melder, Displacement Alterator, Florian Stabilizer, Magnetic Pull Charger, Transmedium Shifter. They will be most probably broken, but this doesn't matter. By the way, they are heavy: make sure to have room in your inventory.

• Where can I find the Novo?

Of course! Go to Bristugo and follow the road southwest to the Observatory. You will find what is left of the machine on the side of the road.

• Yes, but the Transmedium Shifters were taken by the Withered Aegis.

• I found them on the corpses of some Undead.

I didn't expect this kind of news. I wonder why they are interested in rubble. But with the Withered Aegis, it is never a good sign. Please speak to the crafters in the workshop over there and show them the parts of the Novo you have found.

I hadn't seen Cogcentian Melders for years. These are broken and don't work anymore. Did you know these parts had artificial intelligence to make them take decisions? Useful to control the machine. Two of them were made by me. It's easy to see: the alloy is of better quality thanks to a more precise regulation of the heat when smelted.

All right, let's see what you have. Oh, these are pieces from the Novo. These Magnetic Pull Chargers were used to charge the Novo with energy. The energy core is embedded in mechanical circles hammered to fit the core shape. This one was made by me, the other ones probably by the Gifted of this time: the circles are rough. They are partially operational, but energy transfer cannot be optimal. If the Novo only had these kinds of parts, it would never have got enough power to function.

These are relics of the past which were only used once. You do not need a device to merge Realities every day, you know? Their movements were stabilizing the energy waves of the Novo At least these 3 ones were able to do it consistently. I recognize my work here. The others were functional, but with this quality alone, the security system would have melted while the Novo was merging the Realities and an explosion would have resulted. This might have wiped the Withered Aegis from Istaria, but also everything else as well. The knowledge of the Vielo was mandatory.

Oh, interesting. You have found them at the vestiges of the Novo, haven't you? These pieces were generating a lubricant to make the other parts work together without friction. It was created by Dr. Florian. But this one probably didn't produce a lubricant with the perfect viscosity, that's not my work you can be sure.

Luciano? Couldn't have you told me this before? These ungrels, really... all right, let's have a quick look. Transmedium Shifters... this isn't common. These were used in the Novo to stabilize the trans-dividers and prevent them flying off when the machine reached its energy maximum. These were all created by a master: me. • The Transmedium Shifters were all crafted by Viollca. The other parts were a mixture of pieces made by the Vielo and the Gifted.

Really? I don't think the Withered Aegis was only lucky: the undead agents knew exactly what they were looking for. This is concerning, <player>. What do they want to do with such parts?
