You have scouted the Observatory looking for clues and have recovered a Scrap of Hide with illegible markings on them. Sergeant Ortos does not know what they mean, but he is sure they are important.

Travel to Dalimond and Speak with Dennison Jadefellow about the Scrap of Hide
<player>, I have been thinking about this scrap of hide. I am sure it is important in some way and so I am sure that we must discover what it says! If the Wizard cannot decipher it then we must seek out a true Scholar. Travel to Dalimond and speak with Dennison Jadefellow. Surely HE will be able to decipher the scrap!
<player>, it is good to see you again! You are still pursuing the Withered Aegis for the Militia are you? That is good to hear! What is this you have for me? A scrap of hide you recovered on the battlefield, covered in illegible markings? Intriguing... Let me see.
I am not surprised you could not decipher it... Few could. It is an obscure dialect of Human from the Age of the Warrior-King, nearly six centuries ago. The writing is faded and appears to be written in... blood! But it says... Ravage the land... Sunder the Paths... Plunder the Tombs... It is signed... Saronn. Oh dear.
You may not recognize the name, <player>, but I am afraid I do. And others may as well! Saronn was the last King of Barasavus, it was believed he perished in the Draconian fires in 752 B.R. That the Withered Aegis have recovered his spirit does not bode well at all. Many claim he was not only a ruthless leader, but also a powerful sorcerer and warrior.

Legends speak of a last stand amidst the fires and death in a great Tower and single-handedly fighting Malganival Lunus and his Guard in battle. It is said that he slew most of Malganival's Guard that day, but was torn asunder by the powerful jaws of the great Dragon himself! If it is indeed him... You must return to the Outpost at once, <player>!
Travel to the Observatory Outpost and relay Dennison's Warning to Sergeant Ortos
<player>, your story is dire indeed! I, like many others, have heard of Saronn. He must be brought low or we may face a terrible threat to the peninsula. His cunning and magics, if they remain still, could be our undoing! <Adventurer School>, enter the Observatory and defeat this foul abomination. Istara Watch Over You!
Defeat Saronn the Risen King who can be found in the Observatory
Game Feedback: You have defeated Saronn the Risen King! You recover a small token from his corpse. It bears an oddly familiar symbol, but one you cannot immediately place.
Return to Sergeant Ortos at the Observatory Outpost
