Niesa, once a famed Alchemist, has been enslaved by the Withered Aegis for many years. Your search for her, started by her former student and lover, Giltekh Framtor, led you to find her at the edge of the Eastern Deadlands. At Niesa's direction you recovered samples of the bonds and have traveled to Dalimond and now to the Cleric's Tower to learn about the spiritual component of the bonds.

Quest text[edit]

Tomas tells you, Now, let us begin. We shall require three components in order to complete this bath. First, Blessed Water from the pond just outside this very tower. Five units will suffice. Second, at least two Shining Essence Orbs. I trust you know where to acquire them? Third, and perhaps the rarest component, will be a curious object known as a Soul Fragment.

Tomas tells you, How will it work? It is a simple mixture, one that closely resembles that used by alchemists in their work. In truth, I learned of it years ago from an old friend of mine... Barrakhen, do you know him?

Tomas tells you, The orbs will bind to the magical properties of the slave bonds, while the soul fragment will bind to the spiritual properties. The water will serve as a pure suspension, untainted by any magic. When heated it will create a potent potion which can be applied directly to the artifacts in question and should hopefully cause the magical and spiritual bonds within the object to be destroyed.

Tomas tells you, I nearly forgot, <player>! This potion will be extremely potent, so no normal vial will suffice. You must use one made of Crystal for this. Crimson quality should be sufficient.

Tomas tells you, This brings us back to the Soul Fragment, which I am sure you were wondering how to obtain. Once, not long after the Ritual of Everlasting Life, the fragments were common and so there may still be some laying about in dusty attics or rusty chests.

Tomas tells you, Go, acquire a soul fragment along with the other ingredients for this special bath. If you don't have or know where to get a soul fragment, try getting one from the undead near the Eastern or Imperial Outposts.

Tomas tells you, You have the components, do you? By Istara, you do! Well done, <player>. *he carefully takes the items from you* Give me a moment and I will brew up this potion.

Tomas tells you, The potion is nearly complete. This will be a stunning achievement should it work, <player>.
