On your adventures through Istaria you are able to meet NPCs, giving out quests. NPCs do have quests for you if a symbol is shown above their head.
- Question mark (?) means you can hand in or progress in a running quest
- Exclamation mark (!) means you can start a quest
Colors[edit]
The icons are colored different. Each color represents a certain topic of the quests:

| Blue | Side quests |
| Purple | Crafting quests |
| Red | School specific quests |
| Cyan | Town marshall quests |
| Green | Repeatable quests |
| Light blue | Trophy hunter quests |
| Brown | Lore quests |
| Light green | Title quests |
| Light purple | Bounty hunter quests |
