Shangra wants to check a rumor about how the Undead are controlled by their masters.

Necromancy has been a forbidden form of magic since the Age of the Sorcerer. It is well mastered by the Withered Aegis and its hordes of Undead, but the process of reanimation is quite a mystery for the Living Races. Without real knowledge, all that is left is tales or rumors.
One of them is how the Undead are controlled. The necromancy is supposed to be strong enough to subjugate their victim but it is said that Reanimators insert something in the head of the newly reawakened who were too strong-willed during their life... or too stupid to follow orders.
As you can imagine, the latter is easier to check. Yes, I would like to know if this rumor is true... if it's confirmed, I'm pretty sure the devices the Withered Aegis uses for this purpose are powerful artifacts. And I believe many Scholar would make a good offer to study them. Would you like to help me for Artifact Hunter Tokens?
Then, it is settled. Go to Old Bannock Farmstead or to the Autumn Forest and open some Risen Bloodsnout skulls to see what you can find inside. Just go east from here.

- Loot twelve (12) Mind Control Crystals on Risen Bloodsnouts near Old Bannock Farmstead or in the Autumn Forest
- Return to Shandra Woodheart in the Valley of Tears with the crystals
