Alacrity

Action speed reduction bonus when completing an action. This is also referred to as reducing the "delay" between actions, such as how quickly you swing a sword or cast a spell.

The Alacrity bonuses speeds up an action by the percentage displayed on the character summary screen. For example, if a gathering action takes 1 second per "swing" to gather Metal Ore, a 10% Gatherer Alacrity would reduce this time to 54 seconds (60 seconds - 10%, or 6 seconds).

Improving your Alacrity (or "reducing your Delay") is a key goal for players wanting to gather, cast or attack more frequently.

Gatherer Alacrity

Gatherer Alacrity enhances action speed while gathering.

The default "gather" speed is 2 seconds. Gatherer alacrity reduces this speed by a percentage amount. For example, a Gather Alacrity of 250 reduces the gathering speed by 12.5%, resulting in a gathering speed of 1.875 seconds.

Gatherer Alacrity can be increased by:

1. the Dragon spell Primal Harvest
2. the Biped spell Gift of Alacrity

Magical Alacrity

Magical Alacrity enhances action speed while casting a spell.

Martial Alacrity

Martial Alacrity enhances action speed while attacking a monster with a physical attack (including ranged attacks).
