Shared Spawns Explained

Creatures in Istaria appear in spawn areas. Usually they are no bigger than about 100 metres around you. If you enter such an area, there even may spawn different creatures.

A shared spawn describes a spawn of creatures, whose respawn type changes randomly.

Example: If you are on a Quest, you may be asked to kill a certain creature on a certain location. You can't seem to find them after you arrived, but others. Start killing those around and wait for them to respawn. Usually this takes no more than 5 minutes for common creatures. This gives your quest's target creatures a chance to appear.
