Revion died before he could meet his love, Aerlinneil, at the windmill. Resliak believes you should help the spirit find peace and perhaps finding what killed him will help him find his rest once and for all.
Quest text[edit]
I remember now. I remember it all. Would you take this to her? She should be in the town. Oh, Aerlinneil.
What is that you are waving around there? A locket for Aerlinneil, you say? You do not know the story, then, I see. Aerlinneil is a name I haven't heard for a quite some time.
- What happened to her?
Aerlinneil lived in New Trismus once, it is true. She was an elf who had settled here with her intended, Revion. Revion and she were often out wandering the island, I hear they especially liked sharing a lunch near the old windmill and gazing out to sea. I suppose when you cannot fly it is a good vantage spot to gaze upon the water.
- They died out there?
Revion did, for sure. I overheard him speaking that day of a special present for Aerlinneil just before he left to meet her, I presume at the windmill. He never returned and she was worried sick about him. We sent out search parties, but nothing was ever found of him. Aerlinneil vanished not long after, never to be seen again.
- Revion's ghost spoke to me at the windmill.
You have agreed to look for Revion's love, Aerlinneil. But you do not recall hearing any such name before. Perhaps you should speak to Resliak the Great, the oldest citizen of New Trismus, and see if he knows anything of her.
If that is so and his ghost now haunts the windmill, you should return to him and seek to set him to rest once and for all. No spirit deserves such a fate.
Return to Revion and tell him that Aerlinneil has passed
She is gone, you say? I remember now what happened. I was on my way here, to the windmill, to meet Aerlinneil... I was ambushed by an assassin; I tried to flee but he caught up with me and stabbed me with a dagger. I guess I died. Oh, my poor Aerlinneil.
