The Cult of Akkinelos has begun infiltrating the valley and Sentinel-Guide Lemnus worries that those who have been infected with the plague will spread further and wider if not contained quickly. You have discovered that the Priests are spreading the plague, but where did it originate?
Quest text[edit]
Lemnus: Ah, good, there you are <Player>. I ask you to consider, from where, or whom, does the plague originate? The followers have it, the Priests have it... it stands to reason that the High Priest either has it or is the source of it, does it not?
- This topic has weighed on my mind for some time. The High Priest, he or she is the key. Therefore, I believe our path is clear. The High Priest of Akkinelos must be defeated!
You have defeated the High Priest! Return to Lemnus at once!
Lemnus: Report! The High Priest is dead and here is his head? Well done... *he looks at the head* This man is familiar... Irus, do you recognize him?
Lemnus says, 'Grendulf?! Irus, you are right! Oh, <Player>, this is foul news. Grendulf was a hero amongst the Keepers of the North for his role in the Battle of the Blizzard, the battle that kept Mahagra free from the Undead Horde.'
Irus says, 'Yes; Grendulf, wasn't that his name?'
Irus says, 'Why would he have become a Priest of Akkinelos? And to take part in spreading this horrid plague?'
Lemnus: It seems odd, that is for sure. And, like Irus, these are questions that are of great concern. I must consider this.
Steps[edit]
- Speak to Sentinel-Guide Lemnus.
- Defeat the High Priest of Akkinelos.
- Return to Sentinel-Guide Lemnus at Frostwatch.
- Wait while Irus and Lemnus converse.
- Speak with Lemnus.
